We need your help with Dayton’s public art project!

The Dayton Community Development Association has been working on a public art project for downtown Dayton. We have an opportunity to create mural art on the wall that now hides a half-demolished building and storefront. Someday, this property will be developed, but no plans exist at this time. The art work will improve the street scene and encourage more visitors to our downtown area.
We need your help to accomplish this public art project in downtown Dayton. We need $1,099 to complete this job.
There will be 5 art pieces that showcase Dayton agriculture and history. You can see some of the art pieces, depicting our heritage and surrounding agriculture on our Crowdrise fundraising webpage including a piece with “Pirate Pride”!
With $1,099 we will be able to stabilize the wall, install the art pieces, and include a wonderful “Welcome to Dayton” sign at the top. Please help! No amount is too small. Large donations are more than welcome, too! Donations of $200 or more will allow us to note the donor’s name on a special Sponsors Plaque thanking those responsible for helping us complete this project. This plaque will be displayed next to the art work.
The DCDA has funded $500 towards materials, we’ve had over 100 volunteer hours, the Yamhill County Cultural Coalition awarded us a grant of $1300 for the project, and we’ve had $600 in donations. And we only need $1,099 more.
Donations can be made securely through our Crowdrise page or mailed to: Dayton Community Development Association / Mural Project, PO Box 237, Dayton, Oregon 97114.
The DCDA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support!
If you would like to become involved with this or other community projects of the Dayton Community Development Association, we invite you to join us and/or attend one of our committee meetings! We’d love to have you.
