It is with extremely heavy hearts that we have to announce that Dayton Friday Nights is cancelled for June and July 2020. As we closely monitor the ever-changing situation of allowing for public gatherings. 
We are working on “Something Different” possibilities for August, should we once again be able to gather in numbers safely.
This was not an easy decision by the Dayton Friday Nights Committee, but many factors came into play in making this call, chiefly, the safety and well-being of our attendees. We would love your suggestions for alternative means of fostering community during the coming months, and during the month of August. Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the semi-annual highway cleanup of Highway 221 (Third St.), two miles from Highway 18 to Stringtown Rd. 

Join your civic-minded friends for a couple of hours making your assigned section of 221 trash-free and scenic.

We’ll set out from the Blockhouse Café at 8 a.m. and normally finish around 10.

Dayton’s Adopt-A-Highway project was started by John Francis and Caye Poe about seven years ago and soon became supported by DCDA.

If you’d like to volunteer for the cleanup contact the organizers so they can plan out assignments in advance.
